You're also right that Polanski used The Dakota for Rosemary's Baby. He must have felt weird when Lennon was shot because he had hung out with the Beatles in the swinging sixties when he was making his British films.

I remember Greg's friend's name, but I can't imagine how it's spelled. It's pronounced Ma-tick, emphasis on the second syllable.
