I have to say...

It was a good show. All deserving wins, nothing outrageous.

I love the movies. I can't help it :)

Now to the after parties! Will Mickey Rourke kick Sean Penn's ass? Will Angelina give birth and star in a new action flick at the same time? Will everyone realize that the Olsen twins can't actually do anything and stop taking pictures of them? Tune in tomorrow . . .

I really enjoyed the show this year. I like the way they presented the four actor awards with having someone speak for each. I liked the montages they made for best picture and for the post-production stuff with the different clips mixed together. And I liked Hugh Jackman as an MC. I think picking someone who wasn't a comedian by traide was an excellent thing, as the humour was all about making people laugh rather than all about "Hi, I'm $hostname and I'm a funny person".

I agree - and I think that having someone with theatre experience was not a bad thing; after all, it is a theatrical presentation, not a movie or normal kind of tv show.
