I'm back (to coin a phrase).

I am much too tired to say anything much more original, except that the flight was long but uneventful and BC is looking gorgeous. My garden is jungley but not too uncivilized. And I had forgotten I had a six-pack of cider in the fridge. Nothing else, but I obviously have my priorities in the right place. And I had the foresight to change my sheets before I left, so after a bath I will have my own bed with clean sheets, and laundry tomorrow.

I'm sitting on my deck amidst the glow of a summer evening sky, lovely soft fresh air, and the scent of roses. Bliss.

And tomorrow I will have animal friends!

Thank you for all of your lovely posts over the last month: it has not quite been like having my own European vacation, but I've felt like I've had a tour guide showing me all of the secret spots I wouldn't have found on my own.
