MP3

I'm bucking the trend (or maybe I'm a trend setter, ha ha) and have just purchased a non-Ipod. Having been lusting after one of those sleek little critters for some time, I decided to take the plunge prior to my surgery, and then discovered that for less money I could get equal memory (30GB), a built in digital voice recorder, and about 6 times the battery life with the new Samsung player, so that's what I got. It's very cool; I like it a lot. Now I get to spend hours fiddling around with playlists and "ripping" cds and all that sort of thing... The sound quality is quite astonishing, but I find the earphones quite uncomfortable - does anyone have any hints (I must have small ears or something). Also, does anyone have any recommendations for good audio books?

I hate those in-the-ear earphones. I went out and bought the over-the-ear kind.

Ah, yes, of course! How sensible. I think my immediate fear was that these little items had terribly exclusive "specialized" equipment (which wouldn't surprise me, the way things work today) - the first thing I should do is see if the ones from my Walkman, which are very nice, work on this.
