Toaster Oven
On impulse, I bought myself a toaster oven today. The idea was that I mostly seem to grill things these days, and also that it seems silly to use the power to run my big range oven just to bake a chicken breast or a piece of salmon just for me. Why do I feel that now my fate as a middle-aged spinster is completely sealed? There's something terribly Miss Brill-ish about a toaster oven. Even though it's a nice Cuisinart one, in a "retro" style, and is quite cool looking. However, I toasted the Italian bread for the chicken and bread soup that I'm making for my supper in it, and it worked very well.
