You may feel your misery a tiny bit lessened for having been shared, as Charlie was reading his LJ before I got to mine and said 'Oh, a new Connie Willis?'- causing my heart to race as had yours! My disappointment was less severe for my excitment having lasted a shorter time, no doubt. I do think there is a new Connie Willis to be expected semi-soonish [Oh please. Oh please.] as she was talking about it being a bit behind schedule at Worldcon in 2005. But you've probably heard about that and are just being more realistic than I am!
