Heh - "renaissance superiority complex"! I like that :) I think he has a superiority complex, period. His heart's in the right place, but like many of his generation (and gender) he's very absolutist and rather more certain about things than I think anyone has the right to be. I also find it tiresome that he dismisses Harry Potter and other things of that ilk on the basis of the fact that there's only so much time and you shouldn't waste it reading anything but masterpieces. Humph. That's just silly.
