I love parsnips! (which I hear is not common...) I bet your soup was delicious. And how nice to remember summer with some berries, here at the very shortest days.
We did a food shop this morning and were able, at our local supermarket, to get some Denhay cheddar cheese (http://www.denhay.co.uk/about.html)--it's made in the Marshwood Vale (http://www.imagesofdorset.org.uk/Dorset/005/intro.htm) (great name) in Dorset, near where wakanomori's parents live... it feels special to be able to buy it here (albeit at quite a price... ). We can eat some Dorset in Massachusetts.
