something good

Yesterday, in the midst of my sadness, something good happened. I was invited to participate in a conference. Not only that, but I'll be paid. And it's a round table discussion, so I don't even have to prepare anything. It's a conference on technology and education, and I'm to take part in a discussion specifically on teaching English. It's in Calgary, next month. They're flying me out and paying my conference fees and hotel expenses and an honorarium. I've never been paid an honorarium before.
