Watched "The Gift" on the weekend, then of course had to watch "Bargaining" and "After Life." "After Life" was tonight.
Once again I'm gobsmacked (there you go,
lidocafe) by how flipping marvellous the writing is.
The two scenes in "After Life" with Spike. First, when he's able to tell her almost to the minute how long she's been gone. The second where, well, you know, she says where she was. And he's the only one who can really understand. The only one who even looks beyond how happy they all are that she's back and asks if she's really okay. It's so subtle, and so profound.
Yes. Profound.
