Everyone, please meet Zoe:

Checking me out

I went across the Juan de Fuca to Port Angeles to pick up Zoe, and we bonded on the trip back. She's an absolute darling. Right now, she seems a little sad and a little stressed, but there are glimpses of who she can be. I sat with her on the boat, feeding her kibble out of my hand and she gradually relaxed and fell asleep at my feet. That's where she is now.

Robinson was quite casual about greeting her, although I think it's just now beginning to sink in that she's not going away at the end of a visit. The three of us went up to the dog park, and Zoe stayed glued to my side while Robinson chased his ball. She did run and chase a small dog briefly, and actually wagged her tail quite strongly for the first time. She ate a good dinner, and has been mostly snoozing this evening (I think she's had quite a long and stressful day). I may have gained a canine shadow.

I love her already.

Tabitha is Not Pleased, but has at least emerged from hiding this evening and has eaten her dinner and walked past Zoe, sniffing disdainfully.

So far, though, operation Zoe has gone as smoothly as anyone could wish.
