I was just talking about this a few days ago with Becca (the 21 year old) when '74-'75 came on the radio and I immediately said 'soundtrack of your childhood'. The #1 song that came to mind for mine then was "I'm Not in Love" by 10cc. (End of secondary school - horribly unresolved crush/relationship/bad timing what-have-you. Went on for years.)
Your list is fascinating. I wonder if there are people for whom songs are less viscerally linked t memories. Uh, less than those of us for whom they are very linked. [will go drink more tea now.]
