I agree that Casey Affleck was wonderful in GBG. He is in a bunch of other movies in small roles: To Die For, Good Will Hunting, I think one of those Ocean's 11 movies. I usually dislike him, but I liked him so much in GBG that I am also going to see the Jesse James movie now, just for him. I really liked that Affleck showed the seamier/stupid side of Boston, my hometown. He did a great job and Amy Ryan deserved an Oscar. (agreeing with above)
Also agree with you about Eastern Promises; though I confess I've mostly forgotten the plot at this point. It was kind of an unpleasant movie.
