It's funny - I didn't find Eastern Promises unpleasant (I know the violence was pretty in your face, but I actually didn't mind that). I just found it... uninteresting. It was trying to be something serious, but there was nothing to it except the acting and the style. I wanted something more!
I'd forgotten that Casey Affleck was in the Ocean's 11 movies. I guess I have seen him, but don't remember it :)
