Right. I've been watching a friend of mine, who is more morally committed than I to recycling etc, take about 4 years to clear out things because she's taking them in dribs and drabs to thrift shops, recycling depots etc. I'll do what I can, but I've vowed to be as conscious as possible from now on by keeping on top of junk, but I need to get out from under so much that the need outweighs the environmental considerations, I'm afraid.
