srsly?? Vancouver is a little more dog-friendly than Victoria, but we're not bad. And you know there's a good Beardie community here... I honestly don't know much about the job situation, except that my impression is that it's not bad, at least in certain sectors (like service and construction). BC is probably the most left-wing province in Canada, but anywhere in Canada, except perhaps Alberta, will be more left-wing (and probably sympathetic on key issues) than anywhere in the US.
