Mt Baker Sunrise with Fog

This is one of the shots I took for an Island challenge. Victoria residents will remember the thick fog that blanketted us for several days. On Saturday morning, I got up before sunrise and drove up the Malahat, thinking that I might rise above it and see the sun rising behind Mt Baker. This is what I found.

Lovely! It must have been doubly satisfying to have your hunch proved right. Usually when I go to take sunrise or sunset photos, the sun is lost behind a bank of cloud!

Lovely--oceans of morning. I think I favorited it already on Flickr, but if I haven't yet, I'm sure going to!

Wow. That is beautiful. Vancouver got a bit foggy a few days ago, but not that thick -- though you could feel and see the water droplets walking through it, like what I'd imagine walking through a cloud would feel like, only less floaty.
