I strongly advise against Harzer käse. This is made in the Harz mountain area of Germany (near Hannover) and should not be stored in cool, dry conditions, Actually, my personal feeling is that it should not be stored outside heavily-shielded nuclear bunkers. It's semi-translucent yellow, with a smell, even through three layers of plastic wrapping, that will take a week to get off your fingers. The taste is indescribable, but rotten milk is one of the more attractive components. And I like ripe cheeses and the smelly sort like Pie D'Angloys. This is not a cheese for eating. It is a cheese for laying down and avoiding, or possibly for use as the active component in an ICBM warhead.
This is not a challenge.
DO NOT SEEK IT OUT
