End of year reflection

It's been a great year. Despite feeling a bit blue for the blue moon at the end of December, I will remember 2009 as one of the best years of my life. Maybe the blueness now is some feeling that I can't possibly top it, or that 2010 will inevitably be less wonderful...

Anyway, here are some highlights of my 2009

A tattoo gift certificate for my 53rd birthday! Thank you lidocafe and the Film club ;-)
Going to see a Stoppard play, also on my birthday.
Planning and executing "Wet Exit" - this is a Film Club reference, but it was just about the most fun I've had in my life.

Getting my tattoo.
London! More Tom Stoppard (ARCADIA - oh, so lovely). Greenwich. The Fangrrrls "Waiting for Godot"
Venice!!!!! OMG. Venice. Eating, drinking, visual delights.
Bath! (well, it was rather hot, but still enjoyable)
BRISTOL and the DWJ conference!!! Meeting so many of you in RL. Making new LJ friends. Giving a paper. Having a wonderful time.
Reconciling with my cousin and seeing my aunt for the first time since 2001.
Cornwall
Adding ZOE to my household!
Teaching Creative Writing for the first time (Win!!)
Vancouver and Monsters of Folk with lidocafe
And books and music and movies and my garden and always all of YOU
