I stumbled across this poster for the Studio Ghibli version of A Wizard of Earthsea. If one image can say anything - it looks pretty impressive. Well, it couldn't possibly be worse than that godawful American TV version of last year. Those books - yes, including, even especially, Tehanu, hold a special place in my heart, surpassed perhaps only by TLOTR, but the Japanese have a way with fantasy that is more subtle and more respectful than the North Americans', so I can only stay hopeful.
