Obligatory Cross-post post

Move along. Nothing's happening here. Just testing the Dreamwidth cross-post feature.

What is your error?

My first cross-over post attempt I couldn't edit for reasons that turned out to have nothing to do with the fact that it was a crossover post (or rather nothing directly to do with it) - I hit into unicode issues because I had stuck cute characters in my subject header.

LJ says, "Client error: Invalid text encoding: Cannot display this post. Please see http://www.livejournal.com/support/encodings.bml for more information."

I'm not sure what the invalid text is, though.

ETA: I followed the lj link to Change Settings, changed it to 'Western European' and now the edit function works. Huh.

Ok, yes that was my error (and fix). Maybe dreamwidth encodings by default, and since LJ (until you set that) doesn't, it throws the error?

Or maybe it was only an issue if you had accented or other characters in your post?
