Interesting--I never would have gotten that pronunciation out of that spelling! My cat's name was the one he had. I assume it was given to him by the SPCA. What was so cool about my cat was that we saw his picture on the SPCA's website, and I thought he would have been adopted by the time we got around to adopting. But when we got there, he was sitting in his cubby, as though he was waiting for us. What also makes his name kinda special is that my partner is a Sergeant in the army reserve--so we ended up adopting a "military" cat who outranks him!
