Oh man, first year students... At least she emailed you to apologize. A lot of first-year kids (and second year) have this attitude like it's highschool all over again. There are cliques - the "crim kids", the nursing kids...thankfully in college the geeky kids are a large group who could slay anyone with wit. When we get to UVic we will have an army.
I have actually heard two girls making fun of other girls in the cafeteria once. I was just thinking holy crap are you still 12???
