That's all. I'm writing this sitting in bed at home having woken up much too early after a looooooooong day yesterday. Clio-the-cat was very chuffed to have me back to curl up next to overnight. Will be picking up hounds later. Will post some final Paris reflections later, too - maybe tomorrow. Today I've got laundry and housekeeping and dog collection and grocery shopping and probably napping from jetlag and if I can stay awake maybe the first episode of Angel 5.

Oh, I also have to go and see what's blooming in the garden. That will be fun.

I was in Palo Alto on Friday, having dinner with Judy, a friend of Mum's who is a couple of years older than I. She, like you, is a teacher; she teaches deaf children. Her term doesn't end till late June. When I told her you were done and in Paris, her favorite place in the world after San Francisco, she replied, "Well, fuck!" So havinf asked you to have a glass or two of wine for me, Judy and I had a couple for you...each. I hope you appreciated it, a very nice Napa Merlot.
