Hope you're not bored yet!

Turns out she's not a big 3-month old kitty. She's a very small 6-month old kitty! So she's not going to be big, though the vet said she might still grow into her paws. The neighbour who passed her on to me said she was skin and bones when she arrived on my neighbour's doorstep. It speaks much to Tabitha's strength of character that whatever hardships she may have experienced don't seem to have at all daunted her curiosity and zest for adventure. It's a good thing I didn't know, because I wouldn't have taken her (I really wanted someone younger to make the adaptation to the dog easier). But I love her to bits, and she seems well able to cope with life with Robinson, so everyone's happy.

That makes me put out a prayer for all other lost kitties, that similar blessings may fall to them.

You told me she was six months before you got her! I remember because I was thinking that half a year is more like a kid than a baby. What I like about slightly older cats, though, even three or four months vs. six or eight weeks, is that their personalities are clearer.

??? I don't think so... Juanita (my neighbour) told me she was 8 weeks old. My Clio was 6 months old when I got her, maybe that's what you're thinking of... Anyway, it doesn't matter, because Tabitha is lovely and however old she is, I'm keeping her :)

Yay for people who take stray cats in

We adopted our fluffy cat when she was about 5 or 6 months old. She stayed small with big paws!

I'd missed the bit about Tabitha being a stray, but I'm glad she's survived the ordeal and now has a good home with you.

(in tears) Yes. That.

Yes - I meant that for you. I'm so sorry, but will be steadfast in sending prayers out to the Powers.

Yes, loving homes for all lost kitties, devoutly to be hoped for. I love my two to pieces, and the worst thing about getting them was seeing all the other kitties I couldn't save, and knowing that the animal hospital was having trouble placing them all.

yes, and for doggies, too, especially the elderly or unattractive ones who often don't find homes.
