Move along. Nothing's happening here. Just testing the Dreamwidth cross-post feature.

ETA (on this side of the cross-post) Can we cross-post the other way around? Send all LJ entries to Dreamwidth? Does anyone know? And how do you import your LJ into Dreamwidth?

There's an importer! It imports your tags, comments, filters and userpics too -- though you should upgrade your account to paid/seed first if you have more than 6 and want them all to crossover. Some things import very quickly - at least for me; the userpics and tags showed up after a few minutes - but it sounds like entries and comments are taking quite a bit longer, like several hours, possibly a day. I'm not sure if they've done anything to make it go faster now.

This post has more information.

ETA: I don't think there's a function to write new entries on LJ that will crossover to DW, though. But there are programs that let you post to more than one site, I believe.

Also, were you able to edit your post here on LJ? I tried with my crossover test post and LJ wouldn't let me.

Thanks! And, yes - I was able to edit my LJ post. Don't ask me how :) Except that I notice that you had set comments to openid, whereas I didn't - maybe that makes a difference??

Semagic lets me post to practically everything else ... insanejournal, etc. ... so I was going to experiment with seeing if it would also post to Dreamwidth, but not right now.
