Question for Dreamwidth-ers

Does anyone know if it's possible to update an import without duplicating contents? I imported my LJ when I first joined up, but that was some time ago. I'd like to back up what I've got in LJ since then and maybe start posting over here routinely, but don't want to re-import stuff I've already got. Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm not absolutely sure, but I believe this was one of the things that was fixed early on. At least, in the very early days you'd end up with duplicate entries if you crossposted and then imported, and that got fixed. It think in general it ought to sync rather than duplicating or overwriting. Maybe there's a faq somewhere.
