Let's start with the delightful "blog" of "unnecessary" quotation marks. Along with the proliferation of apostrophes where no apostrophe needs to be, we see "quotation marks" all over the place. Someone is keeping track and commenting dryly on them.

I find this one fascinating: The Book Depository Live. Watch in real time as people all over the world buy books. Why I should be mesmerized by seeing someone buying Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys in Sweden, I don't really know. It's the magic of the WWW.

And a link for Shakespeare buffs to add to their bookmarks: Shakespeare and Film: A Microblog. Great source of news on new and old movie versions, dvd releases (including David!! Tennant's!! Hamlet!!!), and useful YouTube clips.

Hi! I surfed in from a mutual friend's flist.

I've been stuck for the past half an hour or so, reading your posts, and have enjoyed them a lot, so I've friended you. I've got a new journal, so there's not much content yet, but if you're into art at all, you might like it. I'd like you to friend me back, but realise you might not want to.(We do have a few shared interests even though you don't mention art).

The Book Depository Live is fascinating! I got stuck on that too...

I was truly cracking up over the quotations one. Zero-ish accidents, LOL.

You do realize that by showing me The Book Depository Live you may have made it impossible for me to ever do anything other than sit at the computer and stare, accumulating a mile-long reading list in the process of stroking my voyeuristic vein, right?

The Book Depository Live is really cool! Thanks for the link.

I've actually bought a few things from them, mostly via Amazon, but just recently, I've begun to be aware of them as an independent large bookseller, so I will start checking them out directly in future.

Great recommendations. That quotations blog is pure win. It made me "laugh."
