It came.

Now I can take my poor dog for a walk, and when I get home... hee.

It must have flown across the country - I'm amazed, considering I got free shipping. So, despite my having to sit home all day, I'm v. happy.

Yay! I would love to hear a review, esp. of the updated software (is it Leopard now? Ocelot? Jaguar?)

I will. It's Leopard :-), upgradeable to Snow Leopard when it comes out next month.

For a start, it's beautiful, and lighter and thinner than my old MacBook. The display is very bright and clear, very easy to read (which for middle-aged eyes is a Good Thing) - I can't wait to watch a dvd on it! And I've got all the newest software - iWork, Aperture, so will report on those, too.

The track pad feels like silk (it's glass). There's no button to click, and you can do all kinds of things just with your fingers - haven't figured it all out yet.

squeeeee.

More later.

It is (shiny). I think I'll have to take a photo of it ... it's so beautiful (is it silly to get all sentimental over a computer??)

Welcome home, little Macbook.

*Finally*.

:-) Yes. Though, really, I shouldn't complain. Considering it came here from Shanghai, then to Kentucky, then to Ontario and back across Canada, it really made very good time. I'm giving it a gin and tonic now :-)

Sounds like a match made in heaven. :)
