Pull it out, turn it off if it's still on, let it dry COMPLETELY, and then if it still doesn't turn on, take it in and say "I don't know what happened."
Are you sure it's dead? My LJ friend hrj did exactly the same thing but she successfully put hers into intensive care and later revived it.

Well, as you can imagine, I have no freaking idea what to do about the phone, but I wanted to express my sympathy. How well we all know that feeling of nooooooooooooooo!!!!!.

And I left it in a bag of rice for three days, which seems to be the prevailing wisdom, then tried it, and ... nothing.
