Packing my Bags

My dogs and I are off to Tofino - Long Beach, Pacific Rim National Park, on the west coast of the island - for a five day adventure! The sun is shining, somewhat fitfully, but that is the kind of place where even if it's raining or stormy it will be exciting and beautiful. There is surf. There are bears. Tofino is developing a reputation as a foody destination, so there are good restaurants and cafes. I'm taking Shiver and Villette to read and maybe one or two other things. And there is internet access, reportedly, so there will perhaps be updates and photographs.
