Stranger Than Fiction

When I was a child, one of my greatest fears was being kidnapped. There were a couple of fairly famous cases when I was growing up, and one near Vancouver which involved a teenage girl being held captive in a basement room for a couple of days. Nothing quite like this, though. One can only imagine the ordeal - and how difficult it will be for the poor girl to return to a normal life. I can also imagine Hollywood moguls already lining up...

Goodness. Have you read The Collector by John Fowles. Spookily similar. Scary, too. There was a man in Belgium who kidnapped two little girls for some considerable while.

Very nasty.
