(Via [livejournal.com profile] a_d_medievalist)Comment to this post if you want me to...

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
*7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

* I like this kind of game, but don't feel you have to follow up if you don't want to...

1. You were one of the first people I friended - duh, it took me about a year to figure out that you were _supposed_ to friend people! I can't remember how I found you, but your "interests" list is nearly all bolded because of shared interests and most of the ones we don't share we could.
2. Firefly! (We aim to misbehave)
3. You're the only person I know who would "get" the greek jokes in The Ogre Downstairs
4. One of your very moving posts about Ranj.
5. If it's not too snoopy - who was ... is it Owen? The boy you mention often with obvious sadness.
6. Your old default "classics cat" one

I do love The Ogre Downstairs. :) "Peter Phillus" still makes me giggle.

Owen was my boyfriend my senior year of high school. I had one of those "across a crowded room" kind of moments my sophomore year when I saw his freshman class picture in our yearbook, and fell half in love. I met him later that year, which sealed the deal, and languished in wretched love for two years until our senior year. We went out (ish--I wasn't supposed to date or have friends, but my mom wasn't there so what I did before six was my own business, and I worked Sundays at a fast food place, so Sunday afternoons we could usually steal a little time) all that spring, and a few weeks after we graduated, he was killed. I have not really ever been the same, which is going to be true anyway once you reach a sufficient distance from 17, but I was not very well for a few years.

Oh, and in case you are worried that you brought up a painful memory or traumatized me, please don't be. Sure, it's painful, because I miss him a lot, but I miss him because he was an extraordinary person, and it's okay to remember that. I am happy to remember him, and how much I loved him.

Thanks for adding that - I only asked because you mention him quite a lot, so didn't think it was a taboo subject. But it's good to know :)
