(Via [livejournal.com profile] a_d_medievalist)Comment to this post if you want me to...

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
*7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

* I like this kind of game, but don't feel you have to follow up if you don't want to...

1. YOU were one of the first people I friended, too - round about the same time as I found [livejournal.com profile] classics_cat, and I may have followed a link from her to you, or vice versa. We share a LOT of the same interests (as you know). I'd be interested to know YOUR answer to this question about me...
2. Antonia Forest :)
3. Besides your fierce intelligence and your erudition (which I've mentioned before) I like that you can be silly.
4. Meeting you in London and having a wonderful too short time talking about books.
5. How did you get interested in the history of sexuality?
6. I like your Alison Uttley one best

(edited because I forgot the question)

I suppose I started reading things like The Other Victorians and The Worm in the Bud more or less soon after they came out, just out of general interest, plus I was also reading the feminist stuff on history and sexuality, and then I came across the letters to Marie Stopes and realised that there was a whole lot there that the existing historiography had not only neglected but in many cases got dead wrong. So I signed up to do a PhD and the rest is, er, history.
